Meet the 2016 ConnecTech Fellows!

Suri Bandler '17
Suri is double majoring in Math and Computer Science and minoring in Literature. Before coming to MIT, she lived in Rishon Le'Tzion for a year, doing Sherut Leumi (National Service in Israel). During her service, she taught at an elementary school and volunteered in a community center for new Ethiopian immigrants. She is currently the President for MIT's pro-Israel group, Friends of Israel, and has been a fellow for various Israel advocacy organizations such as StandWithUs and the David Project. She is also a staff opinion-editorial contributor for MIT's newspaper, the Tech and is a Teaching Assistant for two courses at MIT. She loves reading, playing sports, and listening to music on repeat in her free time.

Morrisa Brenner G
Morrisa is a first year Master’s student in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics doing research related to noise near airports. She is originally from Los Angeles, California and in her spare time enjoys playing board games with friends and doing things outdoors including taking long walks and occasionally flying small airplanes.

Jason Fischman '17
Jason was born and raised in Wesley Hills, NY. He is currently studying Mechanical Engineering, with a concentration towards the design of medical devices. He has always had a passion for understanding how things work, and using that understanding to create new things entirely. This extends to not only mechanics, but to the human body as well, which has driven his interests in the medical field. Beyond that, he is also excited about the ability of new medical devices to truly help people around the world. His interests include skiing, ping pong, fencing, and playing piano. On MIT’s campus, he is an active member of both AEPi, and the MIT Hillel community.

Josh Fishman '19
Josh is tentatively studying Mechanical Engineering. He spent a year in Israel studying at Yeshivat Birkat Moshe prior to coming to MIT, and when not in school he lives in Silver Spring, MD. He enjoys reading, fishing, hiking, birdwatching and most things involving nature.

Cady Lytle '18
Cady is studying Mechanical Engineering and music. Whilst they are originally from New England, Cady dislikes the cold and is very ready for actual warm weather. They play in both the MIT Symphony Orchestra (bass) and MIT Concert Band (trombone). In their spare time, Cady enjoys reading, cooking, playing board games, skiing, and rock climbing. (If only there were time).

Tchelet Segev '18
Tchelet is studying Systems Engineering at MIT. She grew up in Israel, Taiwan, the US, and South Korea. Tchelet is passionate about international development, specifically working with global environmental issues. For fun, Tchelet likes to curl up with a book, act, listen to Disney music, and talk with friends from all over the world.

Marianna Sofman G
Marianna is a Ph.D student in Biological Engineering. Originally from Moscow, Russia, she grew up in Texas and has embraced the Northeast pastimes of rowing, skiing, and surviving apocalyptic winters. She enjoys concerts and cooking.
