The graduate student board is made up of volunteers from the GradHillel community and organizes all of our awesome events. If you'd like to join the board or have an idea for a new program, please contacts us!

  • President

    Adina is a PhD student in the Dept. of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) working on modeling and design of nano photo-electric devices. Originally from Israel, she loves cooking, doing outdoors things, meeting new people and painting. Adina is excited to be involved in creating a warm and inclusive Jewish community on campus.  

  • Mashgiach and Shabbat co-chair

    Akiva is a third-year student in the Anderson Lab in Chemical Engineering, working on new methods of delivering mRNA vaccines. He is very excited to finally fulfill his role as mashgiach at in person events this year. In his free time, Akiva enjoys juggling, swing dancing and boardgames.

  • Treasurer

    Tal is a PhD student in EECS working on silicon photonics with a focus on phased arrays. Coming from Colorado, Tal is excited about hiking, eating, skiing, and meeting new people. He is excited to contribute to the Jewish community here at MIT that he has found so kind and welcoming.​

  • Tzedakah Chair

    Sabrina is a PhD student in EECS working on photonic integrated circuit design and applications. She is originally from Illinois and enjoys everything music- and outdoors-related. Sabrina is excited to help Hillel expand its positive influence in the Jewish and external community.

  • Education Chair

    Lucy is a first-year PhD student studying transient geophysical processes with remote sensing. She grew up in northern California, and loves backpacking, knitting, and listening to podcasts. Lucy's family is full of teachers, so she's excited to help bring learning opportunities to MIT's Jewish community!

  • Programming co-chair

    Isaac is a first year student in the Earth, Atmosphere, and Planetary Science Department (EAPS) studying planetary magnetism. He is originally from Texas and loves to play basketball and soccer in his free time. Isaac is excited to help grow the graduate Jewish community at MIT.

  • Social Chair

    Will is your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Originally from New York, he participates in MCM, the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse. By day he’s a PhD student in Networks and Mobile Systems—something of a scientist himself—and by night he reads, runs, cooks, and plays piano.
