Birthright Israel

MIT Hillel is currently not running a specific MIT Birthright Israel trip. We are happy to help interested students get connected with other local Boston campus-based trips, and the MIT Hillel staff can answer any questions you might have about this opportunity.

If you are looking for a trip over winter or summer break, we suggest choosing Israel Outdoors for your once-in-a-lifetime Birthright Israel Gift. Israel Outdoors is inclusive, open-minded, fun and energetic. Several local Hillels in the Boston area have trip offerings with Israel Outdoors and we can help connect you to these campus Hillels if you would like to try to travel on one of their trips. Hillel Council of New England (which includes many smaller campuses in the area), Northeastern University, Boston University, and Brandeis are all offering trips.

Discover for yourself what it means to go Israel Outdoors:

  • A 10-day FREE trip to Israel – No strings attached
  • Travel in an inclusive and relaxed environment
  • More trip dates = more flexibility to fit your schedule
  • Experience the highlights and go off the beaten path
  • More trip options = more options for diverse backgrounds and interests
  • Their active itinerary means more time off the bus and on the go

Eligibility

If you are Jewish, between the ages of 18-26 and have not been to Israel on a peer-group program since the age of 18.

If you have been to Israel only with your family or for work, you are still eligible in most cases. Even those who participated on peer educational trips prior to turning 18 years of age are welcome to apply.

More Information

Birthright Israel is an innovative partnership between the people of Israel through the Government of Israel, private philanthropies and thousands of donors and Jewish communities around the world (North American Jewish Federations through the Jewish Federations of North America; the Jewish Agency for Israel; and Keren Hayesod).

This trip is a gift from Birthright Israel. This trip covers round-trip airfare plus ten days of educational programming in Israel.
