Genesis: The Big Questions

Should I reproduce? Where should I live? Who should I marry? These are just some of the questions we’ll be approaching with a combination of Torah and common sense. This class is open to people for whom these questions are live and pressing. We’ll also be asking questions like these (topics subject to change without notice):

• 9/9 Is there a limit to the benefits of technology?

• 9/16 How do I live with my mortality?

• 9/30 When is sex OK? What is the purpose of sex?

• 10/7 Is sin a relevant concept in a secular world?

• 10/14 Am I my brother’s keeper?

• 10/21 Would I want a world where everyone is like me?

• 10/28 Is it OK/good to eat meat?

• 11/4 Is suicide ever OK?

• 11/18 When do alcohol and drugs become a problem?

• 11/25 When is unity a bad thing?

• 12/2 How similar should I be to my parents?

• 12/9 How important is physical beauty?
