MIT Hillel is proud to support a range of Jewish practice, including Conservative-style services (MCM — MIT Conservative Minyan) when student leadership and interest align. While we do not currently have a weekly Conservative Shabbat minyan, we warmly welcome students who are interested in helping organize one. With the right energy and initiative, the minyan has re-emerged at various points in recent years, and we’re always ready to help students bring it to life again.

History

The MIT Conservative Minyan was founded during the summer of 1994 (originally called the Egalitarian Chavurah), using a siddur of their own creation for Friday night services.
