Tashlich & Hear the Shofar 5786/2025
Join us on Tuesday, September 23 from 2–3 PM as we gather at W11 and walk to the Charles River for Tashlich, the ritual of casting away the past year. We’ll be tossing apple peels (with breadcrumbs available too), marking the season and its traditions. Come share the moment with friends and community as we begin 5786 together. Email Sophie Bellwoar (sophieb2@mit.edu) with any questions!

Round Challah Baking
Come braid and bake special round challah with us on Wednesday, September 24 from 5-7pm in W11 to celebrate the new year! We will braid the challahs and then eat dinner together while they bake. You’ll get to take home your special loaf! Dinner included! Sign up here!

Reverse Tashlich
Join us on Sunday, September 28 from 12-1:30pm for Reverse Tashlich, an opportunity to come together to clean up the Charles River by removing plastic, trash, and other debris that threaten the Charles ecosystem. Learn more about Reverse Tashlich here.
Meet outside W11, we’ll then walk to the Charles & clean up, then come back to W11 for lunch. Sign up here!

Spiritual Check-ins
Just like an annual physical, this year we’re offering a spiritual check-in! The High Holidays are a chance to pause, reflect, and set intentions for the year ahead—and we want to create space for you to do just that. No prior reflection experience needed. Join us on Tuesday, September 30 for a half-hour session designed to help you crystallize your intentions and begin 5786 with clarity and renewal. Sign up here and email Sophie Bellwoar (sophieb2@mit.edu) with any questions!
